2 years ago, in Bangalore, India, Shreyas was stuck in heavy traffic and saw an ambulance stuck behind him in the traffic. An auto rickshaw driver jumped out of his vehicle in a rather heroic way, and guided traffic to the left and right, and somehow magically made way for the ambulance. Everyone heaved a collective sigh of relief and rode off into their busy lives. Shreyas was deeply moved by the auto rickshaw driver's initiative and wanted to find a way to recognize his deed.
He wanted to create a platform where anyone could share a story of kindness like this one, and express gratitude. Unsung People now spotlights people who have gone out of their way to make their communities better. Hundreds of people from around the world have come forth with heart warming stories of kindness.
Unsung People is especially pertinent today, when there is a great need for us to recognize kindness around us.
